Easter Events and Egg Hunts Across the Birmingham-Metro



What’s more fun than hunting Easter eggs? Why, hunting for more Easter eggs, of course!

We’ve been gathering a basket of Easter fun, ourselves. Here are listings of Easter egg hunts convenient to Birmingham, Leeds, Hoover and Gardendale, and McCalla.

Saturday April 1st -

Oak Mountain State Park, Pelham. 10a-4p : $15.00 Per Car

"10th Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Market! This year's event will be hosted in the South Trailhead Field on April 1st, from 10am until 4pm. Bring your basket!

Egg Hunts for Ages 0-12

This year we have added a second, smaller field for toddlers. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance for pictures at no cost! WZZK will be on hand providing great music and announcing each Easter Egg Hunt! Educational Programming will be provided by the Alabama Wildlife Center and the Oak Mountain Interpretive Center. Hay Rides will be available and complimentary! They will run from 10am until 4pm. Ride as many times as you like!"

Soccer field located by the Trussville Civic Center - Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt - 6:30p (Free for ages 2-8)

"Face painting, cotton candy, drinks, cupcake walk, Easter Bunny, 6000 eggs, and more!!! DON'T FORGET YOUR FLASHLIGHTS AND BASKETS!

Birmingham Botanical Gardens - Treasure Egg Garden Adventures

For children age 5 and above $20 Members | $25 Non-Members "Hop along to discover how we can use plants to dye eggs! Let's use our winter vegetable harvest such as onions, beets, and cabbage to find nature's colors we can use to dye and decorate brightly colored eggs. We will also discover signs of spring in The Gardens along a treasure egg hunt!"

Saturday April 8th

Railroad Park Community Easter Egg Hunt, Sponsored by Highlands UMC (Free) - 9am

"Open to the Public."

Clay City Ball Park: Community Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by Clearview Baptist Church - 10am (Free)

"There will be separate hunts for kids 0-6, 7-12, and our friends with special needs. Enjoy puppets, balloon creations, ad more as we celebrate the fact that Jesus is alive!"

West Homewood Park - (Free)

"Egg Hunt is for toddlers up to ten years of age. Children will hunt for eggs with children of their own age group. There is also a section for children with special needs."

Groups and Times:1-2 years: 6:30pm – Daylight Hunt

3-4 years: 6:30pm – Daylight Hunt

5-6 years: 7:00pm – Sunset Hunt

7-8 years: 7:20pm – Bring your flashlight

9-11 years: 7:20pm – Bring your flashlight

Trinity West Homewood Oakmont Campus (Free) 10a-12p

"Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! We will have our hunt with 5000 eggs, a bouncy house, petting zoo, and crafts. We will provide complimentary kids’ cups of Magic City Sweet Ice, too! There’s something for all ages!"

Sunday April 9th

Avondale United Methodist Church - 12:30 - 3:30p (Free)

"Join us in the Avondale Park Rose Garden for the annual community Easter egg hunt and cookout."

KultureCity Eggstravaganza , Homewood Public Library (Sensory Friendly) - 2p-4p

"Come out and enjoy an indoor sensory friendly egg hunt with KultureCity as we launch our partnership with the Homewood Public Library! Sensory activities, games, and goodies will also be available! Enjoy family fun in a safe and sensory friendly atmosphere for your children! This event is for children ages 4-21. We will have sensory storytimes available during the event for your children to enjoy. Tickets are limited in order to keep this event sensory friendly. Please reserve only 1 ticket PER FAMILY We are so excited to see you there!"

Saturday April 15th-

The Birmingham Zoo - Eggstravaganza – Birmingham’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt 10a - 2p (Free with zoo admission for children)

Hop on over to Birmingham’s biggest Easter Egg Hunt – Eggstravaganza at the Birmingham Zoo! Join the Easter Bunny and his friends during this rain or shine event that is sure to be fun for the whole family! The children’s egg hunts are free for members and included in admission for non-members. The Adult egg hunt is $20 to enter, but participants are guaranteed a prize valued at $50 or more!
