I Love America Celebration - Vestavia

Our 35th annual event will feature free swimming at the Wald Park Pool, children's activities and inflatables sponsored by Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church, a Pops in the Parks concert by the Shades Mountain Baptist Church Orchestra, fun give-aways from our sponsors, and the movie Minions! Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and pack a picnic or purchase a BBQ dinner from the concession stand.

Zamora Park

Come celebrate the 4th of July at Zamora Park Sunday, July 3. We will have a night swim and firework show. Night swim begins at 7:00 pm and fireworks at 9. Admission is $5 per person at the gate. This years show will be spectacular and last approximately 30 min. Seating is limited and we recommend you bring chairs, blankets, ect. Cooler are welcome. Please be courteous of others and respectful of the park. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a fun filled evening at Zamora Park. This event is open to the public. Come join us for a night of fun celebrating Independance day!

Fire On The Water - Oak Mountain

Join us at Oak Mountain State Park for our Annual fireworks show "Fire on the Water"!! 

This year's show will be held on Sunday, July 3rd. Regular park entry rates apply until 5 PM. At 5 PM we will begin accepting $10 per car! The gates will be locked at 8 PM, no one will be allowed to enter the park past 8 PM. This ensures we have time to set up all of our guests have enough time to make it to a good viewing area! We will have Blaze Entertainment DJing from 5PM until 9PM, Knockerball Birmingham open for rentals, and FlipSide Watersports performing water acrobats and jet ski stunts! We will have a long list of food vendors selling to the public all day!

For decades, Thunder on the Mountain has been hailed as one of the largest and most extravagant Independence Day traditions in the state of Alabama—and this year will be no exception. On Monday, July 4 at 9 p.m., Thunder on the Mountain 2016 will once again illuminate the skies above Birmingham’s beloved iron man, Vulcan. Free to the public, this year’s show will last approximately 20 minutes and will feature a variety of firework shells that will brighten the sky with new colors and patterns. The show will be choreographed to a musical soundtrack that will feature a mix of patriotic favorites and popular music.

How much are tickets?

There are no tickets or admittance charge. 

How much will food cost?

Prices will vary by vendor, with costs similar to other festivals and venues. 

Can I bring my own food?


Can I set up a booth to sell or advertise something?
